Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Initiated by her observation of shadows reflected on the ground, the artist spent many months experimenting with a method that allows objects to be represented in two dimensions on canvas. The subject becomes a replica of its own, and the canvas carries its own interpretation painted by the object. This is especially true when it's a live item or something perishable, for example, fruit or humans. Alexa's style of painting is very ephemeral. Only the photographs of her work survive. Techniques of photography and painting are tightly coordinated, resulting in a flat, two-dimensional space that achieves trompe l'oeil. Certain areas of the photo such as the hair, or eyes, show the 3D dimension. Meade sometimes incorporates painted models within the surrounding space. They are able to interact with this world that she created. Thereby repealing the boundaries between painting, photography, performance and installation.
