Coleman is from Lancashire. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also received straight As on her A-levels. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman said that she regrets not having a conventional University experiences. Coleman was in Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she was a part of during her time in high school. Apart from being awarded a prize for acting, the production it performed attracted a lot of attention. Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while performing in drama school in 2005. Coleman was nominated for awards in 2007 and won two awards. Coleman won two nominations in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer in the National Television Awards. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she was awarded in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as the Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman was awarded the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. On the 21st March, 2012 Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat confirmed at a press conference that Coleman was set to be the companion of the Doctor alongside Matt Smith after Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill have left the show. Moffat chose her for the role as she performed well with Smith and also spoke faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's participated in TV and film projects. However, she is better known for TV projects as opposed to films. Eva has played a variety of parts on the screen, but two stand out: Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as the character of Detective Natalia Boavistas which was in CSI Miami. The latter even garnered her two nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards as well as gave her the chance to explore her creativity in music. Eva is not only acting, but she's an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Eva has three husbands, and an infant from the third.
